The band behind unofficial talkwasadream theme song I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night are playing tonight in New York. I think it's funny that I just found out about this sort of obscure 60s psych/garage rock band that I didn't even know was still around and now they're playing a show here. Clearly, all paths lead to The Electric Prunes show tonight and if you don't go you'll never get off the island.

But instead, I started playing with the image above, and I think it fits these sounds better. (I mention the gocco cards thing hoping that if I talk about it enough, I might actually do it.)

The Artist's Space is exhibiting The New Normal through June 21, and these two works apparently resonated most with me and my phonecam at the opening last Friday. There are a total of 13 works in the show that use "private information as raw material and subject matter," including interesting stuff by several Eyebeam alums.
